Game Review (written by Cravendarkshadow) Added on: 12/13/2006
A fictional path you may partake in the ancient times of China. Building your state/province in a bid to return the song empire's king Hui Zhong back to power after Gao Qiu has taken over by an internal rebellion. You may create your own character or use one of the many per existing characters already provided in the game.
This game is very similar to most of the romance of the three kingdoms’ management system. It consists of managing your province's economy (income, food production, flood control protection), as well as managing your officers loyalties such as giving them gifts or even swearing brotherhood to the general you believe in.

map menu. Even before going in the combat menu you have to consider the factors that are favorable to your side having a well trained army is always ideal but being poorly equipped, and the other way around of being highly equipped but poorly trained will also cause difficulties in combat, as well as considering how much food you can afford to bring to the field of combat, also depending on the generals you have.
You have a limited choice of army configuration within the combat itself. The game itself is not easy to master because of the limited time you have in the game before china is invaded, you may have to get used to the economy side of the game and also consider the location of where you might want to start a base at, certain states have boats or military or both available for purchase.
Boats in combat is a must for most combat consideration because you may not be able to take over a province without one, arms of course without that you have very little chance of taking over a province.
In the beginning of the game it is fairly easy to build up your province but you have to try to recruit able generals to lead and to govern the provinces you take over and you have to protect what provinces you have against other players "computer" or otherwise. But in the later stages of the game you have to learn how to utilize the generals you do have in order to win the game and also recruit able generals to do your bidding.
The mistakes you make in the game may accumulate with the wrong general but you can avert problems with getting good generals via wars or market recruitment companies. But you can not spend too much time on either war or recruitment it’s a balance of the economy and getting people you can trust and war.
