Game Review (written by Madeley21) Added on: 05/18/2007
The Dizzy Collection is Fantastic. It comes with three complete games. Magicland Dizzy, Fastfood and another one which I cant remember. But that’s not important, the important game is Magicland Dizzy.
Dizzy is a small egg character in this cloud hopping fairy tale adventure game. Starting off with three lives, a life meter and an inventory that allows you to pick up and carry three items you need to solve your puzzles. Dizzy is pretty fast with a jump that when he lands, he rolls a bit, be very cautious of this when jumping by water.

Dizzy is set out to put an end to the nasty Wizard Zak. Zak has cast spells over each of Dizzy’s friends, six I think.
Spells such as, one turned into a bush and one put to sleep, his name is Dozy though, so I don’t think he minds too much. On his travels through the game there is quite a lot of back and forth, sometimes this gets frustrating. For instance, when you come across a goat staring at a Troll beside a bridge, you think should I have kept the three items in my inventory that I do not need or picked up that stick in the tree platforms that took me 25 minutes to get to. ‘Yes’ hit the goat

with the stick to knock the Troll off the bridge. This is just one of the many mini puzzles in the game that you come across.
Also there are characters you come across, the piper, prince charming and the witch are just a few. But all these play their part in the game with you helping them and them helping you. Also there are diamonds you collect along the way giving you extra points and that’s about it I think, don’t really know what they’re there for.
When I first played this game, I thought it was excellent, although maybe having five or six items in the inventory could have saved a bit of time but the animations and bright colors were great for the time of release. I played this again a couple of days ago for the first time in about 8 years and it’s still excellent.
Then there is fastfood Dizzy, this is more of a points earning game, going around shopping malls etc. collecting items to beef up the points. Along the lines of pacman. Not as much game play as Magicland Dizzy.
I would recommend this game to anybody, any age and rate it 5 / 5.

Wow Dizzy I remember that game. Oh what a good game with a egg shaped person! I can't wait to try and complete this.

I absolutely loved dizzy as a kid. This brought back many happy memories :) Magic land Dizzy was definitely my favourite. The kids these days don’t know what they’re missing. I much prefer the old dizzy games and Monkey Island games to any of the play station or xbox games. Dizzy was simple and loveable and had nice shiny colours :)
