It Came From the Desert 2 is the sequel to the first It Came From the Desert game and again, from the start, you get that 50s b movie feel I so adored these games when first they came out and still think there are nothing like them; they could remake these and they would be fantastic!
The intro sets the scene for, from what I remember, was first game I ever heard speech this clear. The graphics are still spot on today, and not really dated at all.
The story goes like this: It's a few years after the first game has ended and the ants are back again because no one knew there was a second queen! You play Brick Nash, an ex fighter pilot from the Korean war. It's pretty much the same as the last game, but feels even better; they ironed out the bugs and the game is a little more forgiving. It
starts off like the first, slowly setting the eerie scene with you searching for clues and talking to the residents. This is where the music is so good, spooky and tense. Unlike the first game where you could trigger the ant fighting action pretty much straight away, this starts of slower until about the second

day when ant heads start popping out of peoples' bodies all over place! Yes, that’s right... this time the ants come out of the bodies. You flick a Pez (that’s those sort of sugar sweets the tasted just of sugar and were as hard as rough diamond!) and the person in front of you, if infected, will have a ant head pop out of him or her. You still shoot the antennae off, and the person returns to normal and usually gives you a clue as to where to go next. It's also good fun to flick them at people not infected and get their annoyed and confused responses. You still have all the other mini games and Lizard's Breath is pretty much the same town; you can explore it, triggering random games. As like the first game, anyone can play it through countless times trying different ways and responses to the town's colourful characters. It still has the slightly annoying hospital game which gets irritating after a while, but you can skip it. You just can't do it too often. There will be no spoiler her for the ending.
It's still has the humour, graphics and game play of the first and anyone can see why these games put Cimemaware on the map. Why did they not re-release this instead of the Three Stooges (which is still worth a look) is beyond me.
