I first played this game in the early 90's on my AMIGA 500. I had never heard anything about the game, but found it in a store and was immediately impressed with graphics on the box. Also being a sucker for adventure / puzzle games I decided I should pick this game up.
The load time was long, as it was for many Amiga games at the time, but during the load time you were impressed with some great graphics that took advantage of the Hold and Modify mode of the Amiga (HAM).

The load time was long, as it was for many Amiga games at the time, but during the load time you were impressed with some great graphics that took advantage of the Hold and Modify mode of the Amiga (HAM). Once the loading is complete, a stereo soundtrack of haunting type music is played. Also in order to begin the game, a word from the novelette must be entered as
part of the copy protection.
As the game begin, you have a first person view of surgical room, and hear the beeping of heartbeat on a monitor. The game is takes place in the dream you have while you are under the knife. As you complete different stages your survival rate goes up. As for the dream, it lives up to its title.
As your dream starts you are deposited in to what appears to be a giant Cotton Candy machine. The dream seems to be based within a carnival of sorts. The goal is to escape the machine without being hit by the swirling stick. If you make it out the cotton candy machine you are next faced by a Giant Bee which is holding an item that you need. You will need to get this item without being stung. Easier said than done.
The other screen is accessible from an abandoned hall of mirrors. One of the most enjoyable screens is located to the right. In this screen you will need to do battle killer roses, face down a little girl with a killer ball and knife, and if make it that far find a way to escape before the killer lawnmower has it's way with you.
What makes this game great is the use of music, in the screen mentioned above, while you are in perfectly manicured garden, with some really twisted things happening, meanwhile there is calm and soothing music playing.
This game is challenging, but not so hard that it is not fun to play. There are puzzles that must be solved and several items that will require the proper timing. I'm looking forward to playing this game again as I have yet to some out of my surgery alive. I recommend the AMIGA version above others.
