Arkanoid is an action arcade game where you will be in control of a space vessel, which is preventing the ball from falling out of the playing field. You will bounce the ball up to the top of the screen where there are groups of bricks. Once you have got every single brick to disappear you will continue on to the next level.
The game consists of several different bricks throughout the levels. Some of the bricks will take more than one hit to make disappear and some others will contain a special power up.
Some of the things the power ups could do are expand your paddle, multiply the number of balls in play, or even go to the next level. There are a few more but you will just have to play to find them out.
Each level has been designed very uniquely. The bricks will be displayed in different patterns and shapes. Every level varies when it comes to the placements of the bricks and how difficult each level is. The further along in the game you get you will discover the game is getting far more difficult. The difficulty changes by the amount of bricks there are, how many hits the bricks need to disappear, and overall the placement of
the bricks. When the bricks are spread out more then just being in a line the game is far more difficult. It is harder to hit a single brick on its own then it is to hit a group of bricks.
There is much graphical detail in this game since it is a bunch of bricks. With the placement of the bricks changing every level though the game does have a lot of design that has taken place. The graphics of course resemble an arcade game and are great!
Arkanoid is a game that many people would think they would get bored of quite rapidly, but over all you will find yourself getting really into this game. There are so many great features to this very simple game. With a game not having too much to it, it definitely is one of the best games possibly invented. With the simplicity that goes along with this game you are capable of going through the game quite quickly and still get amazingly high scores. Make this game a competition between you and your friends and compete to see who is able to get the most points or who can complete each level faster then the other.
