Beach head 2 is an ex-arcade game where you control the turret with two hand triggers close to what are found on military fighter planes. The object of the game is to keep the invading forces from destroying not only your turret, but from getting a position on your side of the battle field. At your disposal are many different weapons, your main ones are two machine guns, that can destroy massive amounts of ground troops, but not very effective against armor or air force planes.
Against those foes, you have missiles, such as side winders, heat sinkers, or just straight up un-guided missiles. There are bosses at the end of each level, which require you to save most of your missiles, and keep constant fire from the machine guns on.
During the level, you are challenged you to destroy mini bosses that appear somewhere in the middle of each wave of opponents. During each of the waves, it gives you a massive amount of opponents to defeat in large groups, usually coming out of the beach landers. When the beach landers are on route, the only way to destroy them before the troops have an opportunity to get to you, is to use rockets or missiles. Otherwise,
you are forced to just wait until the doors open up and then unleash a hellish amount of bullets on them before they pile out of the landers. You can't hope to destroy all of the troops before they can unload, because the game sends about five landers to the beach at one time, so you just wait until the first opens up, fire at most, then go on to others.
The levels end when one you get to the objective score, and two, after the score is reached, you destroy the boss, who usually has massive amount of both armor, and missiles plus rockets. Your turret cannot move around, so you must rely on your skill as destroying rockets with your turrets. Even though your turret is heavily armored, you are alone and therefore must have great aim, and persistence to get past the level. The game seems to go on for ages, but it is actually a really fun game that only takes time, patience, persistence, and gamers eye and coordination. The game is awesome, and a great game for all to try and see how high of a score they can get. The levels only get harder with more enemies, so have fun, and play hard!
