You collect diamonds, in order to open the door to the next level. The next level increases in difficulty, and there are 26 in all. Eventually you need to destroy or avoid a variety of enemies. Coming in contact with an enemy causes you to explode, and lose a life. If this happens, you must start over from the beginning of the level. You don’t have anything to throw or shoot at them, so you must tunnel under, or push boulders to sending falling down, crushing them.
This causes them to explode, sometimes destroying parts of walls, and opening up new sections of the level. Sometimes, in the case with butterflies, they explode into diamonds.
Something to look out for, is Ameba. It spreads in all directions, and is only stopped by walls and boulders. Other than dripping Ameba, it’s okay to touch it, but it can only be destroyed by explosion (hard to do, since every bit must be destroyed), or by surrounding it with boulders. When this happens the Ameba sometimes turns into diamonds.
On later levels there are yam-yams. They make an annoying sound, but are funny to watch. Dropping boulders onto them causes different things to come out of the explosions, including doors. Aliens hop
around and sometimes follow you, unless you come in contact with a wheel-thing. This thing spins, attracting the aliens from you for a while.
