The game Bruce Lee was loosely based on Game of Death and parts of Enter the Dragon. You played the character of Bruce himself on a quest through a Chinese temple. The bad guys were a Ninja and "The Green Yamo", who was a big fat green guy who ran after you at every stage trying to boot you in the head. The Ninja was just a generic character who wasn't exactly around the time they gave out computer AI, as he really was quite thick and you were often able to boot Ninja into the various traps that were set for you.
The Green Yamo was slightly more cunning though and it was always a laugh getting involved in all out wars with him.
I think the best part about the game was the 2 player option. 1 person could play as Bruce and the other - as the Green Yamo. It was such fun as you always started off trying to work together and beating 7 shades out of the Ninja, but it often turned out that you'd accidentally hit each other. After this happened several times, you'd just lose it with each other and end up forgetting about Ninja and trying to beat the hell out of each other instead!!
The game got progressively harder as it went on, with several parts being very tricky and
taking a long time to traverse through. Most notably were the parts where you had to jump over “lightning “, on the floor. This could lead to severe loss of lives and complete frustration, especially when you have the stupid Ninja and fat Yamo trying to constantly do you in. The graphics were standard for the time it came out.
Bruce Lee was a quality early C64 game, and will still continue to be for many years ahead!
