Cartoon like driving simulation can be lot of fun for any age. Buggy Boy is definitely one of those kinds of games. The game is an arcade style game developed in 1985 by Tatsumi, which would have been quite pleased with the success of the game.
Your entire objective of the game is to race around five different courses in the smallest time you possibly can. The courses that you will take part in are: Circuit Off road, North Monte, Carlo, South Southern Cross, East Safari, West Paris Dakar.
Each of the courses has been designed with its own unique backgrounds so you are able to depict the course that you are currently racing on.
On each course you will encounter many different obstacles. With there being five legs in each course you will surely come to many of these obstacles in no time. Some of the obstacles that you may find yourself encountering could be boulders or even brick walls. You will either have to maneuver around these obstacles or try driving through them. You will be awarded points every time you travel through gates and collect flags that have been scattered around the courses.
If you want to have fun try hitting logs and tree stumps to get
some nice air. Any time you do so you will gain some extra points while you are traveling through the air. You can also get extra points by driving your buggy on one wheel. It may be difficult to get your buggy on one wheel, but once you do try keeping it there as long as you can.
Each race has been timed with several checkpoints throughout. If you don’t make it to the next checkpoint before your time runs out game over. Try avoiding other buggies because they will surely slow you down and make it more difficult for you to get to the next checkpoint in time.
Overall, the game has a lot of great aspects to the entire game play. There is not too much difficulty included into the design and format of the game. The buggies are simple to control, and the obstacles are not too difficult to avoid at times. Buggy Boy will have you wanting more every time you complete the game. Just remember you want to get the best times out of all the opponents so aim for first place every race and you will be a true racer. Now if you have enjoyed racing games in the past and want to try a classic arcade game, then you will love Buggy Boy. The game is a great game for all ages and will be enjoyed by all.
