Okay where to begin with Frantic Freddie. Well I remember playing the game when I was just a wee tyke back in the day when computers first came out. It was so hard to understand the damn concept of the whole 'load "*",8,1' concept but eventually we made it through.
Then upon our discovering how to map out the computer our nerdy little friend who got us hooked in the first place on the most basic of games got us hooked on Frantic Freddie.

Then upon our discovering how to map out the computer our nerdy little friend who got us hooked in the first place on the most basic of games got us hooked on Frantic Freddie. Now remember that these games were the cream of the crop at the time, and they even still kick ass to this day. Between the basic midi effects and the colorful characters that make up this game, could you really pass these for
the playstation 3?
I would like to think not. And speaking from experience in completing the game, I get more satisfaction out of playing such games then even its later precessors such as Donkey Kong on Super Nintendo, and that is really saying something.
The genious that went behind a game such as this in terms of the design of the levels and the complexity of the computerized characters in which you would have to create your own strategies in order to avoid the multiple computerized ones in order to complete what looks like a relatively simple level in a simple game - think again until you become engrossed in such a world, you will not have the complete understanding of what Frantic Freddie really achieved.
It is fair to say like in any game, the first five levels all start off relatively basic and just warming you up to the skills in which you would be required to complete the game and introducing you to the strategic battles in which the computer characters will be putting you through. By the time you pass the first five levels and you think you are pretty hot stuff by this stage for reaching level six, then the fun really begins. The all out battle for the prize at the end of the rainbow so to speak really takes off from here whilst you are ducking and diving in between the various floors and levels in order to collect your multiple stars and other various goodies along the way.
Definately Frantic Freddie was beyond a doubt one of those games that even nearly 30 years down the track you still have to treasure!
