In this side-scroller, you take control of an alien that is trapped in one of the human ships. You must find your way through the ship, going through teleporters that match using colours, doing normal side-scrolly things such as jumping over boxes and killing patrolling enemies. When you kill enemies, they have a chance to drop power-ups such as extra health or bad power-ups such as inverting the controls.
The aim (apart from exiting the ship) is to disarm a bomb in the ship’s computer.
Along the way, fellow trapped aliens may be rescued to gain extra lives. There is a timer for the bomb that ticks away, so the game must be done quickly in order to reach the bomb. Once you disarm the bomb, you can exit the ship and try to make your way back to the interior of your own planet where you may find an escape pod.
The controls in this game are simple to understand, seeing as there are so few, but it is poorly executed. The game shows a lot of promise to have the fun and replay ability of the “Sonic” series, however the jump and smash techniques quickly become tiresome. The levels are linear and apart from a few hidden power-ups
they will soon have you switching off. Although there are some challenging areas, most of the game is spent without ever losing a life. Generally once you have died in an area, you will not do so again.
Different types of weapons can be used in different situations, but with only three in the game, each scenario screams for a specific weapon. Only one of the 3 will work, so there is no real variety. A scoring system is implemented in order to zest up the game.
The graphics are bad and all of the characters end up looking like slugs, albeit with cool rings around them. The levels all look the same, and the enemies do not get harder, although your weaponry increases. The manufacturers contented themselves with putting increased numbers of enemies in combat to make it harder.
