James Pond is a fish (cod) that is on a mission to stop Dr. Maybe. Dr. Maybe stole all the penguins and all of the Christmas presents, which were there. It is James Ponds job, to save all of the penguins and get all the toys back where they belong. There are also items to collect, such as hammers, cakes, earths, apples and taps.
He wears a special suit on his body, so that he can breathe out of water and it also makes him grow taller.
The only way that James Pond can defeat his enemies, is by jumping on their head because he doesn’t carry a weapon such as a gun around with him.
When you start the game you are located at the factory and in the factory there are many doors, which have a different level in them. The more you finish, the closer you get to finish the game.
I find the graphics to be pretty good for the time period the game was made, and the sounds are alright as well.
You get past the levels by jumping and you can also fly when you get wings. You can also stretch to grab ledges above and climb cross them over a gap or a danger.
There are also a variety of vehicles, such as planes and cars and bathtubs for James Pond to get around the toy factory in.It has been about eleven years since I last played James Pond, it was on a really old computer which we bought from my uncle when he got a new one, the game came with the computer and I must say it was one of the best ones we got. When the computer became too old and didn't work anymore, e updated the computer but we were unable to replace James Pond and I really miss that one and even though she won’t admit it, y mother liked James Pond and I think she secretly misses it as well.
I liked the colours in the game and also the fact that there is no major violence, everything is fun and happy and it reminds me of Christmas. My favourite level was the one that had you bouncing around on everything you touched.
