Game Review (written by Chrissi) Added on: 12/23/2007
When game’s based on movie it can become quite difficult to get the overall feel of the movie into the game play. Well, in the game Labyrinth this wasn’t too difficult of a task for the creators. The game follows the movie’s plot very well utilizing many of the same characters that were involved in the movie and many of the same situations.
During the game you will have to option to either take the role of a boy or a girl. The game begins with a very mysterious text adventure attempting to get to the cinema.
On your way you become transported to the Labyrinth. This is where you will see the simulators to the characters and the situations.
If you are looking for a game that is longer than most you really should attempt Labyrinth. The game will surely take many hours to complete, and there are several different endings so who knows what you could expected to happen every time you complete the game. There are tons of levels that you will be adventuring through each being more unique than the next. With the inclusion of the text format as well as visual game play there is a lot of diverse aspects to the overall game.
Labyrinth is an adventure game with spurts of action throughout the game.

The action sequences that you will encounter are quite brutal but very simple to do. The game involves a lot of mazes that you will be attempting to travel through. These mazes were not your usual maze though. You will casually be travelling around the game and without knowing it you will be attempting to get out of an area but find it quite difficult to do so.
The graphical design of the game is quite phenomenal. The characters have been drawn out quite large and have diverse animations, which take the game to the next level. There has been a lot of detail done to every aspect of the game. The text screens have been designed to look like they are from a classic movie that included text, which is just very impressive for the designers to do.
When you are travelling throughout the game everything you do will stay how you leave it. For example if you happen to leave a door open and end up eventually travelling back to that area the door you left open will still be open. There are also new surprises that might pop out of nowhere on you which can be quite suspenseful. The puzzles that you previously encountered will also differ too, so there is always something new to expect around the old.
Labyrinth is a phenomenally designed game with the very extensive plot that takes part throughout the game play. The game is a great depiction of the movie, which allows it to be quite enjoyable to the fans of the film. If you were looking for a game that is very adventurous with a slight inclusion of action then Labyrinth would be the perfect selection for you.
