Game Review (written by Cathigh09) Added on: 10/09/2006
Anyone who grew up in the golden days of the Nintendo [and Sega] know the Mario brothers as a house hold name, and even though the new generation is growing up with new game icons this Mario game gallery keeps the Golden days of Mario and his brother Luigi alive. I suggest playing this game because not only is it fun and refreshing, but the graphics of the game are true to the original.
You and your children will enjoy helping Mario, Luigi, [two Italian plumbers] and Yoshi [their cute and friendly companion dinosaur] jump, battle, and conquer their way around the castle to defeat KING KOOPA (and his troop of evil koopa clan) to save the beautiful and helpless princess Peach and her handy assistant Toadstool.

assistant Toadstool. The multiple levels (water, fire, and earth) will keep you glued to your seats all day helping Mario Battle his way to the top. But not only is the game's goal getting to the lovely princess peach at the top of koopa's castle, but the many levels keep you wanting to play more and more without getting to tried, but the reward is worth the 5 world wait!
The 87 edition of the various Mario brother's games is different from the rest of the games because of it was one of the original games before Donky Kong and other Nintendo characters were added into the equation. (Which I think lead to the decline of all wholesome games in general.) I think that it is just refreshing to go back to the original (and better) versions of the games because personally it reminds me of the countless weekend hours I spent as a child playing Mario with my brothers on the old couch in my play room.
I think other gamers would agree with me on my next statement which is that, yes nice computer graphics and a speedy gaming is nice, but sometimes its just fun to go back to the original and see where the birth of gaming began. (Which in this case is with Mario and Luigi). It is also a nice break, to play game that won’t corrupt your mind with violence like some of the recent games out on X-box, Nintendo Ds, and other gaming systems.
Overall Mario 87 is worth downloading and playing because it has good graphics, and is overall just a fun and exciting game to waste you day on.
