Game Review (written by Chrissi) Added on: 12/30/2007
There are several games created from the ever so popular game known as Pac Man. The next game that has become a great addition to the Pac Man era would happen to be Pac Land. The game has become a great difference to the overall design of the Pac Man games. You will still play the character known as Pac Man, but now you have arms and legs and a great facial expression.
The objective in placed into the Pac Land game has you traveling through several different landscapes avoiding those pesky ghosts in attempt to return a very lost fairy back to her home.
Some of the landscapes can include a town or even a forest. Each being designed more unique then the next.
Some times the ghosts will be carrying a hidden item, which is from the Galaxian game. This hidden item is the flagship. When the ghost drops this item collect it for several points. When the game was designed it was given two different artistic designs to Pac Man himself. In Japan Pac Man was designed with a long nose, eyes shaped like Pac Man, and a feather cap. In America the Pac Man will look quite similar to the Pac man used in television series that was produced by Hanna Barbera. Both of these versions still have the same theme music and the same

little jingles that keep the game similar.
The game is a side scrolling game, which can be played with one to two players. It does have that cartoon feel that many people enjoyed back in the years of creation. When you have finally taken the fairy back to her home you will be given magical shoes, which will take you, back to your own home.
The game has a total of sixteen rounds, which you will be completing. There are a total of four trips in each of the rounds. In each of the rounds you will still have the power pellet that turns the ghosts blue making it that you can eat them for points. You will still be collecting fruits that will give you points such as the cherries and strawberries, and in some of the rounds you will be jumping over lakes by using a springboard. There is a time limit on each of the rounds so don’t take too much time to search around or you will soon have a ghost chasing your little behind.
Pac Land has become a great addition to the Pac Man sequels allowing you to get an extra adventurous feel to the Pac Man world. If you were looking for a new experience in the Pac Man era then Pac Land would be perfect for you. You’ll get that adventurous feel that you get in many other games, and the fun of Pac Man that there is no possible way you won’t become highly addicted to Pac Land just as much as you did with Pac Man. A great transformation that will definitely make its mark on the world of gaming.
