Game Review (written by Chrissi) Added on: 01/01/2008
There are many games a part of the Dizzy collection. One of these games is Spellbound Dizzy, which is an adventure game. You will take on the role of the character Dizzy. Spellbound Dizzy is the fifth game in the Dizzy series and consisted one of the largest maps that is included into these games.
This game is a lot more complicated and longer than previous Dizzy games including over a hundred screens and many mini games. The walkthrough alone takes many hours to do.
One downside to this game is the fact that when you fall from heights that are somewhat high you will loose health points. This game has a different interface included into it. There is inventory that will have icons for the items; your collections have been

separated, and healing items throughout the entire game.
In this game you have trapped yourself into a strange world while experimenting with your spell book. You are now attempting to discover your way out of this strange world. There are many puzzles that you will have to go through and solve and manipulate lots of objects by jumping them. There are even several different hazards throughout that you will be required to avoid or you will loose health. You will be able to sit and decipher many riddles that you will discover on scrolls that will assist you into finding the end of the game.
Even though this game is far more complicated than other Dizzy games, you will discover how enjoyable this game actually is. Still taking on the role of the very popular character and travelling through some very interesting landscapes make these games what they have become today.
With the amount of puzzles and riddles you have to make your way through the game makes you do a lot of thinking and solving. This can be quite complicated at times, but always doable.
The graphical design has been upgraded a fair bit compared to previous games, with more details done to the overall scenery. The game is still designed in a platform format, but it is difficult to tell that the game is a platform game.
If you are already addicted to the Dizzy collections and are wanting to take on a more challenging game in this collection then Spellbound Dizzy is the correct decision. The game has become far more extended compared to others that make it very enjoyable for all ages to enjoy. Time to take on the longest game of the Dizzy collection and get that extra experience that will make you fall in love if you haven’t already.

This version of Dizzy introduces Theo, a magician who arrives to help Dizzy and the land of Yolkfolk out of a sticky magic situation. All of the gang from the past games are here, as are the most areas to explore in a Dizzy game (100+ rooms) and mini games galore.
