The truth is, I didn't like this game at first. I thought it was going to be too different from the first few mario games I had played, and I'm afraid of change. However, I almost immediately changed my mind. I have never played a game so many times in my life! The graphics have changed some, true, but the basic story line is the same. I think that if I were going to advice a mario lover into playing one game, this would be the one.

It's no xbox 360 when it comes to the graphics, but they were high definition when the game first came into play, very top of the notch. My friends and I used to play nintendo games
all the time when we were in grade school, Mario always being the number one choice. We have since stop playing together, but at least once a week I sneak onto the computer and relive those days by playing Super Mario 3. It's not just one player, so be sure to invite friends to play as well. This isn't quite the same as the game I played on the nintendo nes, but pretty darned close.
I will be going off to college next year, and I asked for a laptop as a graduation gift. The funny thing is, my mom believes I want the computer so that I can complete tasks, such as emailing, writing papers, making agendas, and so on, when really I want it so that I can play internet games when I feel like being a kid again. I honestly could spend a good 3 hours straight just playing Mario games. I know most of my friends feel the exact same way that I do.
I could spend all day being mario (or luigi) and jumping on top of mushrooms and turtles. I always feel really cool when I figure out hidden parts that other people don't know about, too. Like, when you hit the bottom of a box and "voila!", a vine comes shooting out of the top. I haven't figured out all of the secret ways, but I'm sure by the end of the next year I will have them all down. If I were going to pass on a game to all my nieces and nephews that play these horrible new gruesome games, I would pass on Super Mario 3. I already have one niece hooked on it, and I hope that her passion for it will go on as long as mine has. This is truly how I feel about the game, and I want it to be passed on through many different generations.
