Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was a game from the early 1989. I am a HUGE Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fan. This game was one of my first games I ever played. TMNT got me really into computer gaming.
You can play as Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, or Raphael. You are led by Master Splinter. You fight all the common baddies until you reach Shredder, such as Foot Soldiers, Rat Kings, Flame Guys, Mousers, blimps, and various others. This game can be a little fast paced at times and sometimes there are more enemies on the screen than you can handle.
Also timing your jumps is very difficult. There are sections where you need to have such precise timing, that one split second can result in the death of the Turtle. When you die, you can jump back in as one of the other 3 Turtles until none are left. There really is not much of a noticeable difference between Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, or Raphael. They all have a different color and a different weapon that do slightly different things to accommodate the situation.
Leonardo has his ninja swords which have the greatest reach. They inflict, however, the least damage. Michelangelo’s nunchakus become stronger as he becomes more damaged. He is the average Turtle. Raphael's weapon is slower, but powerful. He is especially useful in the
later levels. Donatello is powerful, but slow too. He has the most powerful weapon and should be used for bosses. The Turtles can, however, collect different weapons along the way to expand their arsenal.
You will fight bosses at the end of each 6 levels. You fight Bebop and Rocksteady, Eight Bombs, Mechaturtle, Giant Mouser, Technodrome and eventually Shredder.
I'd recommend this game to any TMNT fan or for anyone who wants a taste of nostalgia. I enjoyed this game and cannot wait to play it again. So, take the time to download this file and enjoy fighting alongside the Turtles to defeat the Foot Clan and defeat Shredder.
