In Yie Ar Kung Fu, you play as Oolong, a Chinese Martial artist who fights with the ancient art of Chinese kung fu, as he battles his way through various opponents with other styles and weapons. In this tournament, you will face off against each opponent in one on one combat, until the other is knocked out, which occurs when the life bar diminishes.
There are eight directions and two buttons that control this game, so it's very simple to play. However, you must manipulate the directional buttons (or joystick, if you're playing the arcade version) along with those buttons to pull off different attacks such as high kicks and leg sweeps.

The aforementioned enemies come in different shapes, sizes, and difficulties in this
game, which makes the game more interesting than others from the time. Each one has his or her own style of fighting, as the first guy will torpedo head first and kick you into submission, where as the second opponent, Star, will keep her distance and throw shurikens (throwing stars) at you until you die. Most of the characters have weapons, and the characters happen to be named after or for the weapon they wield.
The stages are somewhat interesting to look at, but they're basically static. The difficulty of the game is fairly easy, but rather difficult for beginners. What I mean is that some will struggle to best the opponent, while others will find the flaws in the AI and defeat the bad guy every time (like rapidly attacking them while they're in a corner).
All in all, it is a fun game to play and worth to download.
