The Maid Story The Maid Story The Maid Story
Game Review (written by Shannon) Added on: 01/08/2008
The Maid’s Story is an involving little simulation style of game with blatant Hentai influences and obvious adult themes. The game was developed and released specifically for Windows by C’s Ware in the late nineties. It features a first person perspective and can be categorized as part strategy, simulation and part erotica.
The Maid’s Story features well-done anime graphics, concurrent with the Hentai influence. Hentai, in Western culture, has come to mean erotic or adult animations. The beginnings of authentic Hentai art in Japan actually centered around the perverse, often times displaying sexual acts involving women and animals or mythical beings. Since its start, it has become much softer and usually sticks to softcore, animated pornography. Such is the case with the Maid’s Story.
In the Maid’s Story, the user is in charge of what is actually a thinly disguised house of prostitution. The user has several goals. First of all, he (assuming it is a male) is looking for his true love in the house that he is running. Secondly, he is training a group of girls to be most beneficial to his business in a variety of ways. Since the name of the game is “The Maid’s Story,” the girls do actually have to be trained in domestic tasks. The girls must be taught to cook, clean, wash, shop and so forth in order to make them productive members of your household during the day. At night, they are trained for other skills and adventures.
While of this sounds easy and somewhat sexy, there is more to it than just waiting for nightfall and having some fun. The daily house chores have to be both well-balanced between the girls (no playing favorites with the cute blonde etc) and well-suited to the skills of each particular girl. If the household chores are neglected or go unfinished, the house will suffer and fall into disrepair. If the money from the night clients is poorly managed, the user will not be able to purchase groceries or gifts for the girls to keep them happy and attractive. If the girls are worked too hard…on either end of their duties…they will start to hate you or become ill, lowering their production during both day and night duties.
In summary, The Maid’s Story is an interesting Hentai type of game with themes that are actually somewhat realistic, but are unconventional, to say the least. It still presents a challenge for the simulation gamer and should be downloaded

I can't believe this game was made in 1997. The graphics are good and everything seems to work smoothly while you are playing. The game is just that good!

Excellent game, would prefer uncensored though, good for beginners and veterans of the H games.

The graphics and art are fun, and it's amusing to watch the girls do their chores during the day. If the merchant comes buy, and you purchase a house upgrade, the pic of the manor increases. Lastly, you can get a good idea of how the house looks by how many piles of garbage or cobwebs are around, or how low the vegetables are by how empty the kitchen looks. The music and sound are very good. The music is enjoyable and varied, depending on what's going on.

Playing this game, I can see two ways you do it. For the startegy, you have a lot of planing you can do to set yourself up for "a good ending" but, even if you just mess up pretty bad. Which is hard to do really, its pretty easy to bounce back. Or for the Hentai fan. Well just play, its probbly the best DOS game for that kind of stuff.

This starts out slowly, but keeps your mind working the whole time. It's like a sim game only without the animation. You have to keep all the maids busy during the day so that they can keep you busy at night. I started playing and before I knew it, I had been playing for two hours. It is a very fun and interesting game. A+++
