7 days a skeptic is the sequel to the excellent 5 days a stranger. Both are very admirable DOS games of the point n click/adventure genre. Whilst it is not a scary game, it tends to get freaky and unlike the original, it has more of a survival horror feel to the puzzle solving greatness of 5 days.
Both games are quite imaginative, with a good thrilling storyline and plots that will catch you out, you play a psychiatrist on a space ship in The ‘caracus’ galaxy, this game is set 400 years after the beginning incident in 5 days, while it is not necessary to play 5 days to understand 7 days, it helps.

I was able
to get into 7 days a lot easier than 5 days (I got stuck) as it seems to flow easier and at a faster pace, the interface in 7 is a lot easier to use, by simply right clicking on a hotspot, rather than dragging your mouse down to a toolbar, clicking the action icon you want then clicking the interface. I have not finished either game, but I am currently trying to stop myself getting killed, one of the things I’m not good at.
If you’re into old style resident evil or want a milder challenge than most horror games, then this is the game for you, it’s inventive in its killing spree’s and tensions mount as everyone is held responsible. The trouble starts when an 'unknown object' is brought onto the ship and they ignore the choice to leave it for a research vessel... little do they know what it holds in store for them.
True to the title, the game is based over 7 days, which all hold different events, and your aim (obviously) is to stay alive for those 7 days.
This game is awesome and I find it mildly scary, in a sort-of... pixelated goodness kind of way... I give it 7/10.
