Game Review (written by Classyguy) Added on: 10/13/2006
Ballyhoo is an awesome game! I remember playing it all the time in the computer lab at school. I’d pick the farther computer away from the teacher and play it all period. After a few years my friends would laugh at me and say, “Why do still play kiddy games, especially with elephants!” I didn’t really mind it all too much I just keep picking up apples and other stuff.
The greatest thing to me in Ballyhoo was the story line. Ballyhoo was one of my first PC games.
I still enjoy playing it at the old school arcades. I always remember getting stuck in the middle of the game and get real mad because I couldn’t figure it out. I would shrink the window and play solitaire for a little while until I cooled down and I’d be back at it again. It took me awhile to find the lost girl but you can’t beat it in a day. It took several weeks for me but I was only on the computer an hour at a time.
The overall game is awesome! The graphics are classic, just the way I like it. If you’re looking for a game that’s intermediate than this is your game. It’s not too hard

or too easy. There are some funny aspics to the game. There are objects in the game that are just there to make you laugh. My favorite character is 827lb lady. She made me laugh all the time but I won’t tell you anymore or else it’ll ruin the story.
There are clues hidden EVERYWHERE! To do some things you might have to repeat the operation more than once but what game doesn’t? I absolutely love the ending. Ballyhoo is one of the games that seem stupid during the game but the story fits together perfectly. At the end it makes you wonder how they did it and when can you play it again.
This game is truly a classic. Some clues are so easy that you can just watch a circus act! The game is so good you forget that you have to save the abducted girl. If you new to the whole classic games this would be a great start-off game. It shows you how simple but complicated an old thing could be. Some people say, “out with the old and in with the new.” But look at the impact a simple game like pong! It’s still going after 30 years! But anyways if you are looking for a classy mystery game and still want some joking around, don’t pass up this game!
