Game Review (written by Omegawaves) Added on: 06/03/2007
This game is amazing. I usually don't like these sort of games, but you really get sucked into it. If it wasn't for the awesome graphics, I probably wouldn't even look at the game. The game controls were if not great, brilliant. It's also a great way to pass time. Big red adventure may sound childish but in fact, it's more grown up than you think.
The game itself however, only has a couple bad aspects:
1. The gameplay can be quite confusing
2. The puzzles can also be quite confusing and are clumsily put together.

The object of the game itself, is very cleverly put together, and after you beat the game, you will understand the story a lot better than just playing the first level, and then stopping, just

because it sucked.
Like I just said, the first level really doesn't explain anything, but that is pretty much with every game. Its graphics were not bad for its time. The characters in Big Red Adventure were not that well developed. I know there was a prequel to this game, but still, the characters weren't explained very well. But overall the game's story is really good, so it is still worth playing. The game controls are brilliant expect for one thing. Getting to your inventory during game play, is so hard, and frustrating at some points. If you are into puzzle/mystery/platform games, then this is definitely a game you should check out and download. I've beaten this game at least 3 times, and it doesn't ever get old. I'm about half way through my 4th game, and I am still thrown off by its brilliant way of changing its puzzles every time you turn off the system. My rating of the game would have to probably have to be 8.5 out of 10.
You play as a detective named Doug. The main plot of the game is the changes of Russia and communism fell. It really sounds like an adult game, but seriously, I can see 10-14 year olds getting addicted to this game. The prequel wasn't bad, but this newer version is totally better and is great to play if you have 5-30 mins to waste and want to play a fun and addictive game. You can easily spend all night playing this.

The begging of the game was very interesting and it kept me interested the entire way through. If you’re just looking to kick back and have a good time I would definitely recommend this game for you.

This is cool. It is a lot of fun if you are between the ages of 10-14.

Pretty good game. Kind of reminiscent of the Lucas Arts games of my childhood, when a group of us would get together and try to figure out how to get to the next level.
