With the same adorable cuteness of the original, this Dizzy remake follows the boxing glove toting egg on his quest to rid his people’s land of the Wizard Zaks, who is really bad news!!! This evil wizard casts spells to turn the community blind and old, and he tampered with the weather to make it rain, needless to say Dizzy feels that he must stop this Evil fiend so he cannot harm he people anymore.
Remembering what his father told him about “the Alestowuffober potion” and how it can stop the wizard, Dizzy sets out to find all of the ingredients for this potion after a chance encounter with a stone slab in the forest.
The potion should be made from a leprechaun’s wig, a clouds silver lining, a vampire dux feather and some troll brew. Once you have all of these ingredients put them in the cauldron and set off to find the wizards castle, which proves to be rather difficult as there are things that are determine to stop your quest!
On your journey you get to fight the bad guys that are sent to stop you such as vampire bats, birds, ghosts, spiders, and other strange creatures. Dizzy must jump, roll, and run from the bad guys and around the various obstacles in his way in order to complete the quest. There are different puzzles that you and Dizzy must solve and there are
many different objects that Dizzy can pick up with his gloved hands that help with these puzzles, however he can only pick up one object at a time which can get a little frustrating and time consuming as you have to go back and forth for some objects, but take your time and have fun with it.
The thing that I love about this game is the fact that there are so many different things that Dizzy gets to do. The game is not just simply get the potion, go to castle, defeat wizard. You have to solve puzzles and obtain objects and these things are enough to keep you busy and capture your full attention. Before you know it you have been going at it for three hours, without any intention of stopping!!!
While this game may appear to be ridiculous and silly, it is surprisingly fun and challenging enough to make you determined to beat it. It is along the lines of Mickey’s Magical Quest crossed with Zelda. This game is sure to capture you with its creative story and character, and if you are in the mood for an entertaining, light game, this is one that you should try. Give it a shot, you won’t be sorry!! Two thumbs way up!!
