I used to have this game about ten or so years ago on the Amiga, I always enjoyed the game but found that the security code system to start the game was hit and miss.. it's a very enjoyable romp through a softcore world based on a series of softcore movies; it's well worth the effort of downloading and making your way through the 80s inspired fashions and hair do's .. I always enjoyed the beach scenes and the ability to find new challenges some of which will make you scratch your head trying to work out the logic.
I found that it doesn't have much in the way of a help system for those moments when you become seriously stuck but the outcome is well worth the time and effort spent on the game. Emmanuelle makes you work. The graphics are more than good: the people look good and the sound is very early 90s; the gameplay is smooth and easy to get into; the challenges are more than adequate, making this more than just a mindless sex game. It will stimulate your brain, as well.
All in all, it's a point and click adventure game that as you are tracking down Emmanuelle across South America. You have to follow her around and build up a relationship with
her so the game can finish with an erotic outcome. It's a European take on the Japanese sim girls type games but with a 1980s movie tie in. My most memorable moments are sneaking round the hotels peeking through the keyholes without too many complaints or being cought. There were some other games like Geisha that came out about the same time but this, to my knowledge, was the only point and click adventure like this. Geisha was more of a puzzle game, which makes Emmanuelle exceptional for being what it is. If you want to play a game with some cheesy 80s/90s music, a softcore plot and that was amazing for the early 90s, and a 16bit colour pallet... then this is an ideal game to throw a few days at. If, unlike me, you do manage to get through the entire game, pay attention and enjoy it. I'm going download it again and hope that I still gain as much enjoyment that the game brought to me the first time around. So download, play, and enjoy the late 80s early 90s..
