Game Review (written by Umbrella2) Added on: 11/08/2006
I first played this game on the Amiga a long time, I was expecting something quite rubbishy the first time I played it but the game is actually quite good, it has some really good puzzles and can be quite difficult. The graphics are quite good and the game-play is above average, I really enjoyed this game, there isn't much depth to the game though and it is very long either. I enjoyed the atmosphere that the game has, you feel as if you are really there and you feel lost in a pirate world.
This game is an enjoyable point and click adventure, it's by no means a classic game but it's much better than games such as 'The Curse of Enchantia'.
You play Peter Banning who was played by Robin Williams in the movie ‘Hook’; the graphics are good enough to actually resemble Robin Williams in a distinctive way. I found this game overall interesting from start to finish, as with most games there are some boring bits (when you're stuck).
Fans of the Monkey Island series will enjoy this game, even though this game is definitely nowhere as good the Monkey Island games (which are my personal favorites), this game has some quality to it without a doubt.
As I mentioned before

this game is not very long, it almost felt like as soon as the game starts to move it ends, you start off in the pirate town and you've got to find answers of why you're there, you start getting somewhere then it ends, ugh! I think people should give this game a try to see if they like the game, because I really feel that it should be given a try by those people who aren't sure about bothering to play it.
My brother also really liked this game when we played it on the Amiga, he said it reminded him of the Monkey Island games because of some of the wit which is in the game (still, it is not as good as Monkey Island) and the puzzle difficulty. This game is not distinctive in any way at all, I don't feel, but it does have something to offer even if it not as much as what games like Monkey Island has to offer but it's still an enjoyable game for it's genre.

This game is actually good, I remember playing it ages ago! A really enjoying the piratey sea atmosphere of the game. Some of the puzzles are quite difficult, it's not a classic but it's a good game! Thanks.
