Indiana Jones & The Fate Of Atlantis is an absolutely fantastic game! It offers the player an exciting variety of strategic gameplay, combined with a good dose of old-fashioned Indy action along the way!
The chance to achieve IQ points is an interesting concept, and it’s also good to be able to choose either the Wits, Team or Action pathways. The Wits pathway is all about using your own common sense, in order to beat the many puzzles which Indy faces along his journey through locations including, New York, Crete, Azores and Iceland.

The Wits pathway is all about using your own common sense, in order to beat the many puzzles which Indy faces along his journey through locations including, New York, Crete, Azores and Iceland. Some of the puzzles can seem tricky at first, but they offer a realistic challenge and they can all be worked out if you take your time to think about it.
The Team Pathway
is excellent in that you can work with Sophia Hapgood throughout Indy’s journey through the game. She is very useful in certain locations and often has good advice to give. The action pathway is good if you like Indy to do things his usual way! Here you get to fight Nazi’s and give them what for! Ultimately, all pathways lead to Atlantis, but it’s excellent to be able to replay the game in order to achieve a different route to the finale.
The Atlantis section of the game is also very good, and often quite challenging as well. The game certainly does have a ‘movie’ feel to it, thanks to the great work at Lucas Arts. They have made numerous ‘point and click’ strategic games, and the Fate Of Atlantis is one of the very best games I have played from this particular genre. I would recommend anyone who enjoys the Indiana Jones franchise to take a look at this game, and it is an absolute gem! Even for gamers who aren’t into Indy will enjoy this game, as it great fun and is quite nostalgic to play.
Today’s modern games are often all about action and explosions, but this particular game takes you back to a time in gaming (1992) when programmers had to think a lot more about gameplay and depth, rather than just fancy visuals.
Fate Of Atlantis isn’t an action-packed gaming experience; rather it’s a cerebral journey through a game which is thoroughly enjoyable and a very good challenge. If you like similar point & click graphical adventures like Monkey Island, Sam & Max etc, then Indiana Jones & The Fate Of Atlantis is certainly your type of game! Enjoy!
