I was completely surprised and blown away by this game. "IT Came from the desert" is a very well made game of a "Cinemaware" company. The Movie that came to mind as I played as the plucky geologist (ordered to investigate the strange happenings around the town of Lizard Breath), was the well done 1954 movie classic and social commentary about the dangers of Nuke testing, "Them".
This is a game where you are required to thick quick and act even quicker. Time ticks by at 1 minute per second, making this one fast paced game of investigation.
As you explore the town, which consists of a movie theater, an air port, a farm or two, and a local mine you realize something is very strange.
Once finished with your primary survey of the town, you realize that there’s an army of giant mutant radioactive killer ants roaming around out side the town. The dangerous ants are closing in and you must fight to survive. Armed with your trust six shooter, an infinite supply of grenades, and aerial deployed bug spray (to really kill those ants), you must fend off the giant killer ants and save the town of Lizards Breath.
This game has amazing depth for it's time, giving you hundreds of variations in game. There are parts of the

game where you can fight with the locals of Lizards Breath, play chicken with some of the local punks, and you can even flee from hundreds of giant killer ants across the vast desert wasteland.
So, in conclusion, "IT Came from the Desert" has solid gameplay, solid graphics, a good soundtrack, really worth to try.

This game always has, and always will, entertained me for hours. I simply love this game to death. Any fan of adventure games should check this one out. The humor it top notch and the gameplay is great as well. Hospital Escape is such an awesome minigame and one of the things that endeared this game to me. That and the fact that I am a big lover of the movie Them! :)
