This game is a re-make of the classic King's Quest 3. For those of you that remember the good ole days of playing the hill and falling a zillion times before successfully making it down the hill can relive those days in full graphics glory! (for example, no more navigation the hill in Lego man blocks).
The developers of the game did a great job re-designing the game in a style similar to that of King's Quest 5. The game play remains challenging but the graphics make the game slightly more enjoyable.
Despite the change in interface and graphics, the game remains challenging and fun.
Unfortunately I couldn't open the file for the spells therefore I had to look on the internet for the recipes for the potions needed. They are available all over the internet. Remember you have to put them in exactly as written or you will die!
Hints for being a successful King's Quester:
Look at every thing, pick up and examine every thing that is not tied down. This is an inventory based game, act like it and collect stuff. Where else is it okay to be kleptomaniac?
Save your game often! You will make mistakes often and have to start over. Save your self the heart ache of having to
start over and save your game. If you think some thing is going to be challenging, save your game. It is probably as hard as it looks and you will die!
Talk to every one: All characters have relevant information to share with you so talk to them. Some times they give you stuff or ask for stuff. Sometimes they kill you. Remember to save your game and this shouldn't be a problem.
Don't give up: There are some really challenging parts of these games. If you give up, you'll never get to enjoy the satisfaction of completing some thing... so take a break... and get back to the game. Sometimes you just need a clear head to make it through. If it’s puzzle challenge that you're stuck on... there are a lot of hint systems that can help. If it's a hill challenge.... You're just going to have to try again until you get through!
Finally, remember to have fun. That's why we are playing right!?
