Game Review 1 (written by Eric) Added on: 01/12/2008
Everyone is familiar of the Mission Impossible movies which star Tom Cruise but those who grew up in the 80s are fonder of the hit ABC series of the same title. The Mission Impossible was such a huge hit that it spawned the movie titles and several video games.
The Mission Impossible that was released in 1990 by Konami was based on the hit TV show. It involves the missions of a team of four highly-skilled spies. It is a top down adventure game that will provide you with countless hours of fun.

The game begins with the message that Dr. O and Shannon have been kidnapped and now you have to rescue them. You can take four characters with you on your mission -- special agents from the Sinister Seven. This great adventure game will take you to different parts of the world in order to solve the kidnapping and save your colleagues.
It is an exciting game that will have you dodging enemies and fighting them off using different moves and weapons. One of the highlights of the game is how every character can be utilized to its full potential based on each character’s strengths and weaknesses. You can easily switch characters at any point in the game. The catch is all your characters

must survive the entire level. It is up to the player of course to do well in the game based on his own strategies. Each character also has its own weapons and gadgets. There are puzzles and special missions that you need to accomplish within the game and these definitely add to the enjoyment that you get out of this fun adventure game. Another good thing about the game is how the characters are easy to maneuver so you won’t have a hard time fighting, shooting or moving around the game. The graphics of the game is good with the characters clearly adapted from the characters on the hit TV show. The game could have been better with better music and sound effects but it really doesn’t affect the game much in terms of how much fun you get to have with it.
Over all, this is a great game that no one would regret downloading. This is a real classic that everyone should try. It captures the essence of the TV show and makes for many hours of gaming fun. Install it in your PC and enjoy!

Game Review 2 (written by Briantherat) Added on: 01/08/2007
Mission: Impossible was definitely my favorite game for my 286 back in the day. The graphics aren't anything spectacular but I assume anyone on this site doesn't care too much about the appearance of the games. The game play is what I love about Mission: Impossible.
You pick four agents out of a list, each having their own special attributes and skills, which you will use for the duration of the game. Once you have the characters and the game starts you are given vague instructions to look into a Judge who's been letting known criminals off the hook. And that's about the only info you're given. Everything else is up to you and your four agents. This is the greatest aspect of the game - you have free range to roam the city - tailing people, using mics to listen in on conversations, you can break into houses, all kinds of stuff going on.
Mission: Impossible is simply a must as far as DOS games. And it's more like an RPG than anything else in my opinion. You'll love it, trust me, you will. So get to downloading the game.
