Game Review (written by Carlos10009) Added on: 03/06/2007
Moonmist is one of the greatest detective games out there. It gives the player four different kinds of gameplay, each with a different outcome. The basic story is that you are a great American detective, visiting some friends for a dinner party at a haunted mansion in Cornwall. During the dinner party, you are set upon a mystery to find a hidden treasure and the identity of a "ghost". You must search the mansion and grounds around the mansion for clues, but be careful, because, if you make a wrong move it might be your last.

Moonmist is a fun game for players of all ages. My advice in playing this game is to put together a map pieces first, if

you don't have one already. You can play each of the four available games and enjoy all of them. If you make an etiquette mistake in one game, that doesn't ruin gameplay, try to correct it in the next game, it doesn't affect the play, but the guests will enjoy your company more. Also try to talk to all of the guests, it might seem boring, but in an all text games with no pictures, conversations are more stimulating than descriptions of what the castle looks like. Lastly, pay attention to details. If something is presented on-screen, then it is probably important and you should pay attention to it. Don't get discouraged, if you can't figure something out. That is part of the fun. Keep walking around and looking at things and talking to people.
Have fun playing Moonmist, it is truly a classic detective story.
