Let me begin by saying I am not one to usually play and/or review a game, but this one caught my attention. I really enjoyed this game. Yes this may be cliché, but I really did. From beginning to end Realms of the Haunting was challenging, captivating and sufficiently accessible as not to make me give up after an hour.
First, the graphics, although somewhat elementary, were sufficient for play and did not detract from the overall experience. I found myself wondering who designed the characters and backgrounds as they were beautifully concepted if not executed.

As for the soundtrack, I found myself a bit annoyed by the music and lack there of at points. You normally don't hear many soundtracks that affect you one way or
the other, but this one was definitely noticeable.
With all of that said, I found myself immersed in the world of Realms of The Haunting from the very beginning. I don't like to spend hours reading instruction manuals and diagrams as I want to play and play now. Realms of The Haunting did not disappoint as I found it easy to begin playing as soon as the juice was turned on. Basic elements were easily utilized and one felt as if he had played some sort of game like this before.
It took me a while to learn all of the nuances of Realms of The Haunting, but this is to be expected and I caught on rather quickly as I stated before. I found the levels to be challenging but not impossible and was excited as I reached new levels and challenges.
Lastly, if you are expecting the movie "The Haunting" to jump off your computer screen, prepare to be disappointed as my stress level was very low and I felt more like I was watching a trailer to a scary movie than actually being in one. Still, I wouldn't recommend letting young children play alone in the dark any time soon.
If I were to design a game such as this, I may have made the graphics a bit tighter and I would have relied on some more simplistic and subtle musical scores, but all in all there is not much to improve on when Realms of The Haunting II is released. I look forward to the next releases by the designers and would recommend this game to any gamer for purchase.
