Ringworld: Revenge of the Patriarch takes place in the 29th century. I think 19 or 20 years has passed and it has been that long since the conclusion of the previous Ringworld game. In the previous title, there were wars between a race called Kzinti and they were fighting the humans. Later on, there was cooperation between the earthlings and the Kzinti and the two races built a spaceship called the Hyperdrive 2. The coalition didn’t work out and the Kzinti blame everything on the humans, and likewise, the Puppeteers blame the Kzinti tribe.
Hence, there is war, and the storyline for the game.
In the beginning you see Kzin patriach and his general discussing something important that you will soon find out about. Having learned about the war between Puppeteers and humans, he plans to attack both of them with the "new" Hyperdrive 2 ship while the other factions are busy fighting each other. He also wants to kill someone called Chmii, who is a Kzin. He wants Chmii and his entire family dead because he turned traitor and helped the Puppeteers.
You get to play as Quinn; he is a space mercenary and also an old friend of Louis Wu's from the first game. You approach Chmii's house at the same time when the general is
trying to kill him and his family since they betrayed them and helped out Puppeteers.
In the game your task it to stop the Patriach and travel to Ringworld to their important secret technology and in between these events they find out about holographics and other secrets but they must continue in order to finish their job. Personally I think that the best part was where you go inside Ringworld and try to find the machine. There are a lot of twists and turns and I hope you guys would like to play this game because I liked it.
Basically, this is a game of espionage and intrigue. There are a lot of factions at play, and somehow your character ends up on the wrong side of all of them. You will spend the majority of this action adventure game trying to find evidence to place the blame for all crimes where it belongs, and divert the attention away from your character. You will have help from friendly characters, but more than not, the world is unfriendly. Good luck in determining whom to and not to trust, as this is a large gaming environment with a lot of twists and turns to it.
