This was one of the first PC games I ever played... and I have to say I loved it! I was hooked on adventure titles from sierra on the bases of this game. The storey in my opinion was full of humor, imaginative and best of all grasping. I actually found myself taking a day off work so that I could play through the part of the game in with the large robots near the end.
For me the storey was full of twists and turns and I found myself really willing roger (the star of the game) to succeed, which he never really does in a horribly comic way!
Within the game there are many mini games to be found and played.

Within the game there are many mini games to be found and played. One of my favorites
was also chicken which makes an appearance in each Space Quest Episode (apart from the lost episode I think!). These mini games range from putting toppings on burgers, to flying chickens past angry space farmers. In a later edition of Space Quest there is even a 'Street Fighter' style game with the 3 stooges.
Really though, if you are not already signed up for this site and you are wondering if it works the way it says on the tin... then the answer is yes it does and once you've signed up make this your the first game that you download! You won’t be disappointed... In fact it will make you download the other Space Quest games and the other titles from Sierra... like Leisure Suit Larry.
One of the other things I really liked about this title was the soundtracks. I know that sounds stupid considering they were midi’s back then and coming out of the internal speaker, but really it gave me Goosebumps in certain places!! The theme tune is worth downloading the entire game! I think although i have played the later editions, this is the one with the best theme tune rendition ... again even considering that the later games use soundcards, mp3s and speakers this one is the one that really captures the game in the theme tune!
This is a great site, try it out... there are over one thousand games to try out... and it really is very simple and free to signup! Double thumbs up from me! And to make me happy download space quest 3 as your first game!
