Ah, this was THE great fantasy simulation/role-playing series for my circle of friends in the early 90’s. Very good graphics for the time, that still look good today, and great game play. I’m a real fan of bad puns, ironic humour, and solvable-but-challenging puzzles, so this whole series was ‘a dream come true’ for me. This is the third in the series – and although S101 was a great introduction with wonderful bad puns and silly humour, S201 was equally as good with puzzle solving and the same great sense of humour, NOW you get to go to the beach and deal with scantily clad women all over the place!
Don’t misunderstand me; the game is great for the game play.

Don’t misunderstand me; the game is great for the game play. As indicated
in other reviews, this is NOT an adult game series, even though there are bawdier parts to it. Plus all three of the games have the option of playing in "nice" and "naughty" modes. (All you have to do is type either nice or naughty to switch between modes).
If you like games that don’t take themselves too seriously, have several good puzzles to solve, and make for hours of fun (alone or in a group) discovering what else Mr. Meretsky put in there for us to find, then this series of games will definitely tickle your funny bone. When these games first came out, 2 friends and I would gather for a few hours just about every Saturday. It took us weeks on each game to try to figure out the puzzles and complete the quest-of-the-moment, but it was a blast.
Enough praise for the series, I’m supposed to be writing about S301. Ernie is back and this time he and his Fraternity are going to Spring Break. You (as Ernie) find out very quickly that your “mission” this time is to help your brothers win a contest against another fraternity for “King of the beach”. The winning fraternity gets to enjoy the beach; the loser has to go home with their tails between their legs. (Be warned, you’re up against jocks and these are mostly physical contests, so you have to find some spells to help your side out).
The interface is still mostly type or simple “click on the command list”, but it still entertains me. Hopefully you give it a try and get as much out of it as many of us have over the years! Just one word of advice for all three of these games - take good notes, it's not absolutely necessary, but it will make solving the puzzles a bit easier.
