The game is great for any type of gamer whether novice or pro because it has three difficulty settings to choose from. The difficulty levels are: Cadet, Captain, and Admiral. You will have to go through different levels featuring different challenges from navigating the Enterprise to engaging in combats with the forces of Klingon.
At the start of the game Captain James T. Kirk receives information regarding three consuls who have been kidnapped from the planet Nimbus III. They are now in the custody of Sybok a Vulcan and are beings used as leverage for Sybok’s intention of facing the final frontier and using the Enterprise to get there. Sybok claims he has found the Garden if Eden and now he want the Enterprise to take him to the planet Shaka where he believes the Garden of Eden is. As Captain Kirk and the enterprise make their way to Shaka, Klingon Klaa, an enemy of Captain Kirk decides to follow Kirk and his crew to the planet so he can ambush them and finally rid of his long time enemy.

Game Review 2 (written by Kevi198027) Added on: 12/04/2007
Star trek V:the final frontier is a truly classic game when it was released in 1989 for the amiga. It’s a must for star trek lovers, mindscape brought out a classic adventure game from the developer. I first played it at a friends house because he thought it was good also. The graphics were pretty good and the sounds were average for an adventure game ,the controls for the navigation were pretty easy to use and the story for the games is much like the film itself. I thought this was much better than star trek:the 25th anniversary which was later released after this.
All star trek fans this is a definite download, you wont be disappointed and you’ll love it too. I hope, the amiga version was pretty good, better than c64 version, also I have played it so many times you never get bored of it. You should give it a try.
