The idea of this game is that you have to collect gems. The gems are your lifeline, as long as you have the gems you can't die. Along your way through a DOS screen with brick walls you can whip through crumbly walls but not through solid walls. You collect gems along the way. There is pink lava that if touched will knock of 5 gems a time. There are electrified walls which knock off 1 gem per time.
Next are the baddies, with two dots take one gem off.

Next are the baddies, with two dots take one gem off. And with two dots takes 2. They can move towards you and some move faster than others. They will chase and catch you and steal your gems. They cannot move through
solid wall but could break through crumbly wall and you can whip them when they come within one character space of you. It was always good to get a stack of them around you and then use a whip and take them all out! I cannot wait to play this again - can you tell! You could freeze all the baddies with a weird of looking character and some would make them faster. Some of the bonus levels were crazy and you just had to hope you had enough gems to just leg it to the exit in order to move on to the next level.
