Well what can be said about this game, it is a landmark title of adventure games and interactive fiction from the glory days of Infocom. This game fits right in with any fan's collection of Hitchhikers Guide, it is somewhat, but not entirely quite like the books. As some things were changed throughout the game to make the character more involved with the story as Arthur as well as to be able to solve some pretty mind bending puzzles, the babble-fish one comes to my mind most readily.

Though some things are indeed different from the versions of the series, it no less detracts from it and makes it stand apart as something unique; just as all the other different incarnations of the
series are different from the radio series, to the books, to the stage show, to the feature film that just came out not too long ago.
The text interface is very intuitive, and does have a wide ability to comprehend what you are saying, although it won’t be able to do every command you wish it to do. And some times you have to get really specific or use exactly the right phrase to get it to proceed along in the story, but other times there are different ways of solving the same issue. Be prepared to die many times, especially in the first moments of the game. Hence, I worn you again to save and save often. Also do not save over your games as you do not want to end up at some earlier point in the game having to play through it again, well, you can, but it isn't necessary. Anyway enjoy this game with a nice cup of tea and may your hitchhiking be successful.
