Game Review (written by Nomerzc) Added on: 02/02/2007
I can remember playing this game on my PC Jr. Back in the day and as a kid I loved it. The game is all text, and you have the choice of playing as a warrior, thief, or wizard.
My friends and I used to play the two player version and would play against each other. I remember when you would kill your friend you were able to take all of their equipment. There are no maps or anything so you have to navigate around the game by memory.

The game play is similar to that of Zork, but is more combat based. You can upgrade your equipment by exploring the world and stumbling upon items in different areas. The items are places randomly

each time the game is played so don’t expect to find the same item in the same place the next time you play.
Keep your eyes open for an upgraded sword for the warrior, a magic scroll for the wizard, and I cannot remember what the thief gets.
I typically played as the warrior, just like D&D, and my friend usually played as the wizard.
There are random encounters so be prepared and not afraid to run if needed. I can remember there was a ghost? Or something in the castle that was particularly difficult to defeat.
I hope my review has been helpful and if you are on the fence whether or not to download this game, go ahead and download it. It was fun and I used to play it for hours.
