All dogs go to Heaven, originally created for Nintendo way back in 1989, is based off of (of course) the Famous Disney movie. Although this movie is considered a classic by many, this game certainly is not. The movie is about a dog named Charlie who can easily be considered kind of a rebel. In the movie Charlie is murdered by his enemy Carface, who is owned by a casino owner. After Charlie dies, he discovers that he wakes up in heaven, and finding out that all dogs in fact end up going to heaven.
Once Charlie finds out all of this he quickly decides that he wants revenge on Carface, his killer. He is able to make a deal with the "mighty forces of heaven" in order to go back to earth, or else he would go back to hell. Once Charlie gets back onto Earth, he quickly is able to team up with his old partner named Itchy. With Itchy at his side they decide to seek vengeance on Carface. As the movie progresses, Charlie ends up finding an orphaned girl who can in fact end up talking to animals. Through this, Charlie is also able to exploit her into seeking an opportunity to get back at Carface. With this orphaned
girl he is able to get information on the whereabouts of his killer and find a way to create a plan to finally get back at him.
But as he does this, he is constantly judged by all the dogs in heaven, who decide whether Charlie should go back to heaven or be sent straight to hell. And this is where the game begins. Although the movie and story is quite intriguing, the game does not do the plot any justice. This game consists of a group of uninspired and amazingly boring mini games that really have very little to do with the actual movie. Of course the mini games are tied together with random plot points in the movie.
It seems like it wants to be a spin off of a bunch of other games that were famous at the time, such as games like Mario. It is hard to see at first, but as you move on through the game, it becomes so apparent that you will start bleeding out of your ears. Each mini game though has 3 difficulty settings, when I played, I set all of the games on easy just to see all that I could as fast as I could, but all of these games are incredibly frustrating, and hard and will make you want to throw your controller at the wall.
