The story behind Assassin 2015 involves renegade marine, Jack Butcher. Jack has turned assassin and is currently working for the U.S. government and is charged with descending into the underground as an undercover agent to expose a military threat to the union. Large corporations are supplying the Red Storm Rebellion with the resources to build and perfect the Genocide 350, a military droid they intend to use to usurp control of the nation.
Dr. Jacques is the brains behind this horrible military threat, and Jack is sent to dispose of him and ruin the plans for the Genocide 350. While the assassination is a success, Jack is, of course, caught almost immediately and has to fight his way back out of the Micro Komm headquarters.
The game is a first person shooter similar to Quake or Doom. The commands are cool to master including only basic controls such as move, fire and strafe to the left and right. There is also a special weapon that can be activated after it has been charged. Upon firing, it takes time to build up the strength to fire again. The game play is very straightforward. There is no exploration and no keys to find to give you access to deeper areas of the base. You are trying to get out, not get in, and your route is guided by a communication expert who helps you through traps and other obstacles. The goal is simply to get out alive.
The graphics are pretty good! Clearing an entire room of enemies does reward the gamer with the treat of seeing the last enemy dispatched in gory splendor in a realistic cut scene. Other than that, Assassin 2015 is a plain shoot ‘em up with the same game play as any other in the genre. It is worth downloading!
