Game Review 1 (written by Jamechow) Added on: 06/06/2007
Back to The Future was one of my favourite film trilogies of all time and I had some mixed feelings about the way it was transferred to game format. The graphics in the game are great. The game play kept me interested.
On the topic of villains, I think that a wider variety would have been nice and possibly and element of flying villains too instead of just the walking ground type ones.
The game play is challenging enough to keep me away from my work and readings for class which really aren't that hard to do these days.
I wish that some of the enemies were more challenging as it just seems that I was beating the same mindless minions over and over again.
I really wish I had the chance to play more than one character. The game could have been a combo of the two characters or two entirely different story lines which would allow for the game to last twice as long.
As far as options go in the game, I feel that a wider variety of moves would be appropriate to have and possibly some combo moves given the nature of the consoles that it was released on.
It’s

the greatest game in the world! I have fond memories of playing back to the future and I highly recommend this game to anyone!

Back To the future produced by LJN Toys for the Nintendo Entertainment System and Electric Dreams Software for the ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64 and Amstrad CPC. Back to the future is based on the movie Back to the future. In this game, you control Marty McFly who is just a typical senior at H ll valley high, but after getting behind the wheel of a nuclear powered sports car that can turn into a time machine, you find yourself in the year 1955 .
Through a number of stages set in 1955 where he needs to collect various clock icons in order to advance to the next level, and avoid the gradual vanishing of his future. Two power-ups can help improve Marty's control of bowling balls that can destroy enemies and a skateboard that can help speed up gameplay. There are also mini-games at the end of each stage, featuring scenarios such as Marty repelling Biff Tannen's gang of bullies from a cafe.
In the final stage, you control the DeLorean time machine on a standard racing level, dodging lightning bolts and obstacles while accelerating in such a way as to reach 88 miles per hour precisely at the end of the stage, enabling the time machine to bring Marty home to 1985.
All in all, really nice game, especially if you are fan of a movie series.

Plot isn't as good as original Back to the Future, but graphics are improved. Gameplay is fair, definately enjoyable, but gets old too quickly. Moderate difficulty. Worth checking out if you are a fan of the movie and/or Back to the Future game.

Back to the future is one of the most interactive video game I have ever played. The graphics are very realistic and the game goes very smooth just like the movie.
