Game Review 1 (written by Gunguru16) Added on: 10/04/2006
Blood is an addicting game. When it came out in 1997 we all got hooked on it. The graphics were (at the time) quite good. While the game could not begin to compare with games as Diablo, and Warcraft, it developed a following in its own right, if only on a smaller scale. The game was a different kind of computer game, one that had not been seen. The game offered unequalled blood and gore, with seemingly no real point. A host of various and at times, creative weapons allows the player to slaughter their way through numerous levels.
The game-play isn't the best, but at the time, it was quite good for a shooter. The game also boasts an array of codes and cheats that can make the slaughter all the more bloody.
The good thing about the game is that you don't really kill people so to speak, so it's not all that disturbing; the enemies are instead monsters and creatures that I can't really identify. The levels are fairly interactive, and there's plenty of stuff to blow up and destroy. The addictiveness of the game really kicks in at about 12 at night, when it's pitch black, and the only light is from the computer screen, this is when you can really get into the game,

and truly get the crap scared out of you when "something" flies up out of the shadows at you.
All in all the game is a great shooter, and is highly addictive. There are a few bugs and annoying little glitches that can happen during game-play, I know that the maker has made a bunch of patches and a bunch of little additions to the game. There is one expansion that is very good that I have come across; the main thing is that the pack adds a couple of new levels, the best of which has to be the pirate style ship.
The ship is a very interesting level, never before seen like this. There are also a bunch of new things that make the patches and such interesting, the main one it the ability to destroy more things, everybody likes an interactive environment, and this is one place to get it, as well as a couple of new weapons, because hey let's face it, while it may be fun to run through a carnival with a pitchfork stabbing at zombies, it's much more fun to do it with a pair of huge plasma rifles!

Game Review 2 (written by Saphire) Added on: 07/21/2006
This is one of my favorite games. First of the graphics are a bit cheesy but the effects of the game-play are excellent!!! The game is well written and has a tendency to mislead leaded you so that it makes you think about where you’re going and what you saw.
When I first played this game I thought it was going to be another clone of quake, boy was I surprised it completely blew me away. The game-play, the sounds, the game engine itself. It’s nothing like quake. It’s much more intense, the plot was a bit confusing as it didn't really explain it all that well. You supposedly re-awaken from the dead. This is the plot as far as I can tell, I can't be more specific.
You will be introduced to a variety of places, traps, puzzles, and monsters. This is a game for people who like to be thrilled and surprised, as well as mystified. The weaponry and mechanics are a bit weird but are a lot of fun. In a way this puts a perspective of things yet to come.
With 5 different episodes to play through each containing there own mass of secrets and levels that will put you in a daze. And a great multiplayer mode that will knock your socks off, a worthy challenge of tormenting madness that you'll never want to see end. The monsters are somewhat easy at the beginning of some levels but will quickly cause you to become frantic trying to blow them away as race to find the exits to each level. While at the same time collecting keys to get through doors contain other keys that will open the exit door for you.
Just when you think its over on a level and you've beaten it, you might come across something will challenge your gaming skills even further, pushing you to your limits, causing to almost have nervous breakdown. The puzzles are just as hard as they will be the most challenging part of the game through the fact that you might think you have a puzzle solved, when the puzzle has only just begun. This is something you have to experience for yourself, action beyond what you’re used to, thinking till your brain hurts, it will make you scream, and when its all over, you'll want to play it again.
This is game you don't want to miss out on; I guarantee that you will enjoy this game.
