All I can say is wow! This game has to be one of the most amazing classics ever released. Such an appreciation for a game of this magnitude can only be obtained through playing the game itself. The game-play is fascinating, but that is not what gets you. What gets you is the emotion-filled music that engrosses you into the game. The music adds meaning to the game-play, and keeps you interested in it for hours.
The art is also quite spectacular. The pulchritudinous graphics in Darius Gaiden could hold their own even in today's graphic-hungry world.

Darius Gaiden is a classic to be treasured for years to come. I first received a copy of this wonderful game in December of 1996. I sat in front of my big screen television playing this game with friends for hours and hours and we totally lost track of the time because we were hooked!
I can honestly say that I have no problem with spending hours on end playing this game. There is nothing wrong with getting lost in a good game, but if you want to get lost in an amazing game, you have to make it Darius Gaiden. There really isn't much more to say. For the time, the graphics are amazing, the game play is fantastic, the levels are superb, and the organization is fascinating. Words cannot describe how glad I was after the first time I played this game. For a relatively cheap price (back then) you could get this at any major store. I suggest getting two controls so that you can navigate the amazing levels with a friend!
Two heads are better than one, especially in this action-packed game that requires deft finger motions and quick reflexes. I am so glad that I found an emulator online. I can't express my gratitude to D F G .com!
