This game is quite possibly one of the most addicting games ever invented for the Dos programming. It is an amazing game with amazing game-play. You are a little man digging into the earth destroying little critters which try to stop you. How do you destroy them? Why with your trusty air pump of total awesomeness. It is a weird game yes, but this weird game was made in the good old, USA. Not one of those newfangled games from Japan which are equally, if not more weird that the game here, being reviewed.

I could just sit for hours upon hours playing this game. If you want a truly
classic game with and infinite amount of replay ability then look no further than dig dug. I cannot recall the amount of hours spent as a child on this game. I am at a loss of words for the person who does not respect the classic games. Sure you have your Mario, and you Metroid Prime, but always keep in mind that dig dug was originally and arcade game. This was one of the first games ported from the arcades into the home of millions of families. It was also in nearly every school.
This was when schools ran only MS-Dos and the kids had to learn commands, not so much different from Linux commands today. Anyhow, this game was a huge success and a very big game for its time. I do not see my childhood without this game, and I am saddened to see kids go with out playing this game, and questioning it. All the kids today care about is "How good are the graphics? What are the cheat codes for it? Is there a walkthrough?"
Well these kids will be heartily disappointed. We have a game that is near impossible to put down. It is truly up there with one of the most nostalgic games on the market, or what was on the market. I absolutely love this game and everything about it. I believe that a part of me died, when this game was shelved and never to be found again, except on the internet. I recommend this game for everyone, and if you are a true gamer and true to the heart of gaming, you will download this game and keep it because this is quite possible, and I say it again, the best game of all time.
