Right, this review is going to be fast. It’s not that I want to just leap into the download section, but to give you a teaser of how your brain is going to feel after playing this! Read that as a compliment, by the way. When I first picked up this game at school, it must have captured the attention of my whole class during lunch breaks, it was not only frantic but damn competitive too.

Right, this review is going to be fast. It’s not that I want to just leap into the download section, but to give you a teaser of how your brain is going to feel after playing this! Read that as a compliment, by the way. When I first picked up this game at school, it must have captured the attention of my whole class during lunch breaks, it was not only frantic but damn competitive too. You follow dizzy (the famed yolky adventurer) through a series of bright pac-man style mazes to grab a mishmash of junk food - presumably to keep up
your unhatched blood sugar levels until you’ve cleared the course. While all this is going on, you’ll be tailed by 4 species of quick waddling foe, each with a different way of taking your food well and truly off the table, so to speak. Look out for the brown ones in later levels, they’re at least as fast as dizzy and will find the quickest route to hunt you down.
The levels themselves are well laid out. Some are very open planned, and others are more maze like, but you can be sure that they’ll each have points that demand say, a particularly reflexive series of turns - which make it challenging fun when sharing the game with friends. Colorful areas like the garden, harbor and even a (Insert popular children’s building block brand name here) level from a miniature’s perspective are included and, though they may seem a bit dated now, they certainly keep you coming back for more.
The designers have made an excellent job of building tension in the game – each go you’ll be on the edge of your seat thinking about your next move only to be suddenly trampled by a patrolling fiend. “But I Know you can do it next time, I Had it!” you’ll say! And even if you do get a moment’s safety your heart will be set off again by the pressurizing music, which is surprisingly memorable and catchy considering the limited memory resources of the day.
All in all, fast food dizzy took pac-man, whisked him up a little, bought him a McDonalds and churned out this additive colored classic – all with great results that make the game the most entertaining and memorable of its kind.
