I really didn’t think that I’d spend much time playing a game called gravity force but I had enough for two games and it looked decent.
It turned out to be a simple but fun game along the lines of lunar lander, but this version has many more details witch made it very addictive. The objective for this game is to deliver packages to certain locations within a time limit and with limited rocket fuel. The only power up I remember is more fuel and I think one for more time.
There may have been a couple extra weapons as well. There are really not a whole lot of enemies to speak of but later there are a few. You do have weapons to take care of the ones that there are but If you come across one you can either maneuver past it (witch is difficult at high speeds) or you can risk turning your ship sideways to shoot it leaving you with no thrust to keep you aloft. There are also many traps and obstacles such as force fields and things that reverse gravity.
The main thing that makes this game hard is that you are constantly fighting against gravity and trying not to crash into the floor or the ceiling but
still move forward at a reasonable pace just like lunar lander. One of my favorite parts about this game is that you can substitute the midi that the game plays for one of your own fairly easily. I used to play anime music or midis from some site that made popular songs in midi form but I guess midis were only popular when they were the only songs you could fit on such low dick space. The game has a two player function that is supposed to be fun but I have never tried it.
Gravity force is a fun game mainly because it's addictive (and I like flying at top speed at a wall then turning up at the last second) but if I were to review it based on graphics and sound I’d have to give it a low score since there were a lot better looking and sounding games even back in the day.
