Aliens have landed and started to take over the world, creating alien-people (the basic monsters) and trying to conquer the whole world in much the same way. Enter Harry, a typically butch soldier-boy type who has the unenviable task of eliminating the alien threat and rescuing the remaining few humans trapped within whatever area the mission takes place in. Not exactly the most original storyline but a good one nonetheless.
You must free all the humans before you escape each level using the lift.

You must free all the humans before you escape each level using the lift. Herin lies the main problem with the game, after freeing all but one human it's very easy to be left flying around a level for a very, very long time trying to get to someone who you can see on radar, but
seemingly not get to. This can get incredibly frustrating at times.
This aside, I played this game many moons ago and thought it was excellent. I enjoyed the multiple weapon system and the clever use of "credits" to pay for ammunition. I also enjoyed the concept of having the basic weapon tie in with another idea in the game; the jetpack. This was also well used, in my opinion, giving levels the scope to do things other games wouldn’t be able to do. There is some basic puzzle solving, but this isn't really the point of the game, which is to run around a large map killing things with a flamethrower, grenades, micro nukes and other such devices.
I also enjoyed how the enemies respawned in an area, with any of the respawned enemies lacking credits to collect, meaning one can't just keep killing the same enemy over and over to get an omega (the best weapon). The graphics are good for it's time, with a slightly cartoon like slant to them, which gives the impression the game is based around fun (although this can go out of the window if you come across another person who seems to be impossible to rescue, as mentioned above) so if you want a horror game, or a serious one, look elsewhere. Indeed, it seems that the people who made this had a lot of fun doing so, and you should have fun playing the game as well. Overall a fun game, ad very much something that can while away an afternoon (if you're not careful) with it's addictive game-play, innovative ideas and overall good presentation and execution.
