Jazz Jackrabbit Holiday Hare 1995 is an addition to the classic original Jazz Jackrabbit, made by Epic Megagames. Though the title is self-explanatory, in my opinion, just to clarify things: The add on is merely a holiday version of the original. It's cute and funny, and introduces a character (Spaz Jackrabbit, the red bunny that's placed as a doll), that will show up in the later produced Jazz Jackrabbit 2. The levels are bright and colourful, and the music is festive.
The game play is perfectly fine, taking into consideration how old the game series is.
It runs off of the Jazz Jackrabbit 1 engine and is just as smooth as the original. And some will find it comforting to know that nothing is really changed, aside from the Christmas time theme and even cooler music tracks. Though, to some peoples' disappointment, there are no bosses within these levels. But what makes up for it is the remixed music in the background. It's one of the best holiday versions of a game I've ever seen. Even the menu snows when you bring it up.
Some of the original levels in Jazz Jackrabbit were difficult, but do not fret - Jazz Jackrabbit Holiday Hare '95 is different. It's a smooth and soothing game to play. Perfect
for the holidays, no? If you are a fan of the original games, or even just a fan of Jazz Jackrabbit 2 or Jazz Jackrabbit 2: The Secret Files, give this oldie a chance. A lot of people have loved this game, and due to its childish nature and feel, it might blast you back into your childhood.
