The Jazz Jackrabbit is the first Christmas edition of the Jazz Jackrabbit game. The other Christmas version of the game is Holiday Hare. This game is the same as the original Jazz Jackrabbit game except it is set in winter and there are some new exciting levels added to it. It’s a cool little game with beautiful Christmas decors everywhere. The game is a platform game from Epic Megagames.
The Jazz Jackrabbit Christmas Edition’s plot is actually based on the classic Aesop’s fable- The Tortoise and the Hare.
In this game though the rabbit is actually the protagonist and the Tortoise is the antagonist. The name of the turtle is Devan Shell. Devan Shell is the leader of a group of terrorist turtles.
Christmas happens is my favorite time of the year so I enjoyed this game better than the original version. The game sets in the winter, adds to the dynamism of the game. When Jazz Jackrabbit is not moving, he will be shivering because of the cold weather.
All the Jazz Jackrabbit games feature the same characters and have more or less the same stories. The difference lies in the adventures that Jazz Jackrabbit has to complete in order to complete the game. As you go through the different stages, you need to fight off evil
tortoises and complete the different missions.
The graphics are cartoon like so young players take an instant liking to adorable little Jazz Jackrabbit. The graphics and the music work together and bring fun and exciting atmosphere for the game. The game actually features a fun remix of the popular Christmas Songs. The game definitely gets you into the holiday spirit but it doesn’t mean the game is meant to be played only during the Yuletide season.
The game was also ported for other systems but it was most popular for the PC format. This is because during the time of the original game’s release in the 90s there weren’t too much cartoon-like and fun games created for the PC.
If you like the original Jazz Jackrabbit game then you will definitely like this Christmas version. The game also has a Sonic the Hedgehog feel to it so if you liked the Sony the Hedgehog games then you will also enjoy playing the Jazz Jackrabbit games. I would definitely recommend this game for players of all ages. It will give you many, many hours of gaming fun.
